Beth Wasylewski

STAYING GROUNDED PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Beth is a passionate small-scale gardener, pickler, fermenter, preserver, baker and maker who believes in sustainable food practices - that sharing what we grow and reducing food wastage is an exciting and wildly worthy way to care for ourselves and our planet.

Beth is a qualified Chef, with a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment and decades of hospitality experience. Together with her husband, she formerly owned and operated North Melbourne’s much loved neighbourhood cafe, Fandango. After moving on from the cafe and back to her home town of Geelong in 2015 with a young and growing family, they established a thriving and abundant edible garden and kitchen in which nothing is wasted, and a business Smallholding that celebrates and shares all they grow.

Beth loves to feed her family and friends with honest, nutrient-dense cooking inspired by her garden and is grateful that she has the opportunity to connect, through food, with her wider community.
